Study suggests young tennis players in training should spend more time in the gym than on the court

A study by the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital suggests that intensive training was damaging young players spines. This article on the BBC website gives the details.

I played several sports as a teenager, mainly tennis and hockey, and was never advised to warm up or do stretches. My spine suffered permanent damage and I live with consant back-ache. This report is very timely!
